Secret No. #1 – Planning
Right now, you probably feel overwhelmed by all the things you should be doing in your business. What you need to do is plan your marketing, sales and financial strategy so you can stop feeling overwhelmed, and instead get crystal clear about your mission, goals and actions you need to take to grow your business.
Secret No. #2 – Resolve
Something I often say is, “Success is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration”. To be successful in business we have to learn to curb our tendency to procrastinate. Developing the resolve to do something every day to move your business forward even when you don’t feel inspired is what you need to get through the 99% perspiration bit!

Secret No. #3 – Optimism
You might be wondering about what has held you back with your business up until now. Well, the likelihood is that self-doubt and lack of confidence have played a part. It is important to recognise that you don’t have to stay where you are struggling with your mindset issues. All successful business owners have mindset coaching to help them break through their fears. What I have learnt is that as well as having support busting through mindset issues when they arise, it is also massively helpful to get in alignment with your inner gifts, and taking regular steps out of your comfort zone. This can help you to know your power, and the true inner self-confidence and belief that lies within you.
Secret No. #4 – Creativity
If you are a sole-trader, such as a Coach, Therapist, Consultant, then in many ways you are your Brand. What this means is that who you are as a person, and what your life purpose is, needs to be incorporated into your branding.
A great place to start is to reflect on what your life purpose is; who you are here to make a difference to, how you desire to help them. Then write down your personal values; what core values do you live by, and what values do you uphold in your relationships with others.
Once you have this information about your life purpose and your personal values you are ready to start creating your brand values, brand essence and message.
Essentially your brand values are an extension of your personal values – just applied to your business.
Your brand essence is what makes your brand stand out from others – this is based on your life purpose, what you are here to do and who you are here to help.
Your brand message is a statement that you will want to use in your communications with your ideal clients so they know what your brand is about – often this is a shortened succinct version of what emerged as your brand essence.
Communicating your brand values, essence and message in your marketing will enable your brand to connect with your ideal clients. This is how your ideal clients will know that you are the best person to be able to help them solve their problems.
Secret No. 5 – Engagement
If you have not made the impact internationally you would like to make and would love to establish yourself as a leader in your field, then engaging with your audience is key to making this happen.
The optimum way to do this is by maintaining an active social media presence, blogging, offering free trainings, and regularly providing valuable content for free.
What most business owners struggle with is creating a coherent promotional strategy that brings all these promotional activities together over a period of months to help them achieve a particular objective or business goal. Most business owners tend to be inconsistent with their marketing, doing marketing on a spontaneous basis and without a clear goal, strategy or focus – and this is why it does not work.
What you need to do to be successful with your business is to plan your marketing activities in advance for each quarter. So your blogging, social media posting, free trainings etc. are all focused on topics relevant to what you are selling during those months.
By doing this you will generate tons of leads and bookings from potential clients, build your email list fast, and gaining expert status in the eyes of your international community of ideal clients.

Secret No. 6 – Systems
If your biggest frustration with running your business is you don’t have enough time to get everything done, then you need to get systems implemented to help you lighten the load. Without systems in place you will burn out before you to get to 6 figures and beyond.
With the right systems, you can automate your marketing and selling so you have a constant stream of prospects booking in calls with you and you never have to worry about where your next clients are coming from. You can finally end the feast and famine cycles and gain the freedom you were hoping for when you set up your business.
Secret No. 7 – Simplicity
Ask yourself, “What is it you truly want from running your business?” Is it more personal income, to save for your pension, have more time or enjoy more freedom and travel? If it is any of these then you need to focus your energies on creating your signature offerings that are deeply fulfilling for you, transformational for your clients and highly profitable for your business. Placing “simplicity” at the heart of your business will mean your business works for you, and brings you what you truly want.
