Right now, if you are working as a Coach or Mentor with international clients, then if you have not already got a Mastermind Group, you should be launching one.
I will explain why I think that Mastermind Groups are the best way to make the biggest impact on your ideal clients, and achieve your revenue goals, in my next blog post. But for those of you who don’t know what a Mastermind Group is, I want to give you a simple explanation.
The concept of Mastermind groups was first introduced to the world by the author Napoleon Hill, who wrote the famous book, “Think and Grow Rich”.
From his perspective, a Mastermind Group is a peer to peer mentoring concept that is used to help members solve their problems with input and advice from other members.
These days Mastermind Groups take many forms. But the basic principle stands – when likeminded people are brought together in a group to focus on acquiring skills or achieving an end goal, they can more easily fulfil their potential with the input and support of their guide and fellow members, than they can working in isolation.
When I launched my own Mastermind programme last year, it was because I wanted a means to provide ongoing support to students who had completed my other programmes. Up until that point my longest individual and group coaching programmes were three months in length.
My existing programmes provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to start their coaching business, attract clients and participants for their programmes, and sell their 1:1 or group programme for the first time. To accomplish all of this in just three months is a phenomenal achievement.
However, I could see that once my students had completed this phase of learning, a new need emerged. The need to know how to take their newly found skills and knowledge and grow their Coaching Business or Online Course into a highly profitable business in the longer term.
The reality is that what we had covered so far was just scratching the surface of what it takes to grow a highly profitable online coaching business, especially given that most of my students were newbies to running online businesses.

As they say, “Rome was not built in a day”, and neither are successful online coaching businesses!
What my students needed was a forum where they could talk about the challenges they were facing as they journeyed along the path of growing their business with others who were on the same journey.
They needed to receive ongoing advice and guidance, from someone who understood the journey they were on, and had experience of overcoming the challenges that arise. This was something I could provide them with.
Perhaps the most important need they had, was for a cheerleading squad to keep them motivated about achieving their goals when they felt disheartened, remind them of their goals when they forgot what they were, and gently kick their butts when they needed a push to overcome their procrastination, fear or anything else that was hindering their progress. Their peers and an experienced facilitator could offer this.
The obvious solution to meet my students’ needs was a Mastermind Group…!
